Scars Of Solitude to release "Under Disheartening Skies" on Oct. 10th.

Jason Hesley

Finnish melancholic melodic metal band Scars of Solitude releases new studio album "Under Disheartening Skies" on October 11th via Inverse Records. The album is released on digital music services and also as limited 300 pieces CD and as 200 pieces 12" vinyl pressings. This is the first full length album with the current line-up. After the 2021 experimental EP "If These Walls Could Talk" it was natural to expect more focused and more carefully produced album entirety. Now the band operates on it's strongest ground even though the album posesses vivid musical versatility. The atmosphere of the album is melancolic and the palet contains mainly different shades of desperation.

For the first time the album also features guest artists as songwriters. The ending track of the album was made in collaboration with Machine Men & Psychework guitarist J-V Hintikka and "The Arsonist" features SoS guitar player Jasperi Ranta-Nilkku's brother Julius as co-writer. Album atwork is made by Lotta Ruutiainen (Luna Kills).
