Bay Area progressive metal upstarts Baby On A Rampage are proud to unveil their powerful new music video for "Failure of One's Name," the latest single from their forthcoming EP "Forgive My Figure," due out November 12, 2026.

The release follows the debut single and music video "Reclaim," the first glimpse into the band's forthcoming EP "Forgive My Figure," co-produced alongside Scott Proctor (Five Finger Death Punch touring member; Machine Head/Testament tech; Amongst Thieves; State Line Empire), whose expertise in harmonies and arrangement helped shape the band's increasingly sophisticated sound. Showcasing a clear progression in both songwriting and musicianship, the new record finds Baby On A Rampage expanding beyond the groundwork laid on their debut full-length, "Fall With Disgrace," produced by Michael Rosen (Testament, AFI, Less Than Jake). With bigger melodies, deeper emotional weight, and a more refined modern metal approach, "Forgive My Figure" captures a band coming into its own and confidently defining its identity.

"This is easily our most musically and melodically developed release so far. We’ve moved beyond the more straightforward metal influences of our earlier material and embraced a sound that is both more dynamic and more melodic. The songs still hit with dark, aggressive, and heavy verses, but they open up into massive, vocal-driven choruses packed with layers, harmonies, and emotion. We’ve put a lot of attention into the details, creating what I like to call a lot of 'ear candy' throughout the record. While our last album explored a wide range of styles and directions, this EP feels more cohesive. Each song has its own identity, but they all belong to the same musical world. It feels like we've finally locked into who we are as a band and found a stronger sense of our own sound," says Ash Lee (lead guitar and lead vocals).

The newly released video for "Failure of One's Name" showcases one of the EP's most personal and emotionally charged songs. Written from different personal perspectives within the band, the track explores identity, grief, self-discovery, and healing.

"Failure of One's Name is a song inspired by my personal experience as a trans woman and coming to terms with my identity. For so long, it existed as a piece of me that lived in the dark, only manifesting when I felt thoroughly concealed. It represents the darkest moments that shaped who I am and those that led me onto the path towards healing," adds EP drummer Lyra Renninger.

For Ash Lee, the song takes on a different but equally personal meaning:

"For me, this song is about finding yourself after a big loss of that sense of self. When my uncle died, I felt like I had lost a huge chunk of who I was. The song is about trying to figure out how to find yourself and feel whole again, realizing that ultimately you have to discover your true self from within."

Musically, "Failure of One's Name" highlights the band's growth as songwriters, balancing crushing heaviness with expansive melody and atmosphere while delivering one of the most emotionally resonant moments on the EP.
