Forever in the Making Release Highly Anticipated Single “Above the Snakes” – A Darker and Deeper Chapter for the Band!

Forever In The Making is a distinctive and special Metalcore band from Derby, United Kingdom. Uniquely blending raw screamed vocals with captivating clean vocals, alongside heavy riffs and catchy choruses, Forever In The Making (FITM) returns with a brand-new single titled ‘Above The Snakes’, set to be released on Thursday, 31st October 2024.

Formed in 2013, FITM has long been a hidden gem in the Derbyshire metal scene, earning a reputation for converting audiences who wouldn’t typically gravitate toward heavy or alternative music.

‘Above The Snakes’ marks a significant evolution in the band’s sound. The track is powerful, born from personal challenges and collective reflection. In the aftermath of the COVID-19 lockdown and a lineup change, the band found themselves exploring deeper and darker tones in their music. The track serves as a gritty and honest reflection of the band’s emotional and musical journey during this time.

In the band’s own words: "After a lineup change and coming back to playing music after lockdown, we had a discussion about where to take the sound of our music. We wanted to experiment with deeper vibes and darker tones. ‘Above The Snakes’ is the result of that discussion and the start of our new journey as a band."

‘Above The Snakes’ is the culmination of FITM’s desire to push musical boundaries while staying true to their core. The song highlights the band’s heavier, more emotionally charged experiences, while being driven by the compelling vocals of lead singer Danie and the signature Metalcore instrumentation that FITM is known for.

The release was written and performed by Forever In The Making, produced by Josh Blackshaw, and is accompanied by a visually striking music video, produced by Diaphony Productions in collaboration with Harmonise Media and Righteous Lighting.
