French label Acid Vicious, featuring US label Inverted Chalice Prods & Bajo Tierra Records, presents the CD reissue of 10th album of Israel-based Blackened Heavy Metal project DIE ENTWEIHUNG: “Kings & Pawns”, on one hand, continues the eclectic direction of some previous albums, mixing such musical genres, like Thrash, Hard’n’Heavy, Doom, with trademark black metal vocal and mid-eastern melodic. On the other hand -another time the sound has changed, the material became more mature compositionally, in addition, for the first time in 9 years, the project had some guests in recording the album: Alexander Ivanov (JINX), Alena “Dark Zero” (NOCTURNAL PESTILENCE), Anton “Shirl” (TALES OF DARKNORD). The lyrics continue the conception of the two previous albums as well, this time the most attention was paid to “the confrontation of man and his surrounding world”. As a bonus track - cover version of the song by legendary Russian Black Metal project DER GERWELT! Being released for the first time in January, 2021, limited to 300 copies by Russian Wings Of Destruction / Australian Scorched Earth Records labels, the whole run was gone within a year. Now the “Kings & Pawns” album is getting back as a 2nd edition, remastered by Yuri “DarkDevil” Babeshko (Pantheon (Isr), ex-Temptation (Ukr)) , with updated artwork (the original art is also included inside the booklet!).
Die Entweihung (Desecration (German))- one man band, formed in May 2007, by Denis Tereschenko (first years performed as Herr Entweiherr), in the northern part of Israel, three years after moving to Israel from Belarus (Vitebsk). Beginning as a raw Black Metal project, Die Entweihung, already on the second album embarks on all sorts of experiments relating to all aspects of creativity. Having passed for almost 10 years through the different, both stylistic and sound changes, Die Entweihung releases "Neverending Terrorism" in 2015, an album as far removed from Black Metal; now the style of the project can be identified, like Blackened Heavy Metal, with the lyrics about the surrounding sad reality. The “Kings & Pawns” album is continuing the way of the two previous albums, presenting to the listener eclectic mixing such styles like Hard n Heavy, Thrash Metal, Doom Metal, featuring 3 vocalists and more serious influence of the Middle Eastern melodic to the Project’s creativity. The latest album “Strict Regime Country” was released in late 2022. Started the series of Die Entweihung reissues, the 2nd album “Hypnotic Dreams” was re-released in its remastered form with updated artwork in late 2023. “Kings & Pawns” reissue remastered CD reissue with updated artwork is being released in mid 2024.
