Cleveland's PARADOX RIFT Unveils "The Sky Beneath" Off Upcoming Album "Ensnared"

Cleveland, USA’s Paradox Rift is gearing up to unleash their latest sonic assault with the release of their upcoming album “Ensnared”, coming out on May 10, 2024. As a preview of what's to come, the band is unveiling the second single, in lyric video format, “The Sky Beneath”, a devastating track that promises to captivate audiences with its raw energy and brutal riffs. The band shares the conception of the track:

“This song has been through more changes and edits than any other song in the history of the band. The song began as a skeleton of drum parts that Eric had organized for Preston to add guitars to. Preston had decided to completely overhaul the guitars and had basically rewrote all of his original parts to the song. Even added a brand new intro riff unintentionally while messing around with effects in the studio. Luke had his share of work too with changing and altering the lyrics to better accommodate the constantly evolving music. This song has been in the oven for years and we are beyond excited to put it out there and see what comes of it.”

Lyrically, “The Sky Beneath” is a fabricated story about a sadistic manipulator getting caught in the web of his own lies. Eventually, he will lose his life by trying his games on the wrong person. Musically, this song is matched well with the deep feelings contained in the lyrics. There are peaks and valleys in the instrumentation that convey anger, betrayal, and regret that one could pick up on even without the lyrics being heard.

“The Sky Beneath” showcases the band's ability to seamlessly blend diverse influences into a cohesive and powerful musical experience. From blistering riffs to thunderous percussion, the track is a relentless onslaught of sound that is sure to leave listeners breathless. It is recommended for fans of Between the Buried and Me, Gojira, and Lamb of God.
