WINTEREVE - Birth Of Tragedy - Gothic Doom Metal!

French female-fronted gothic doom metal act WINTEREVE was incepted back in 2013 by Mary (vocals) and Armand (guitar) with the aim of creating music to convey their innermost sense of artistic and poetic beauty through sorrow, despair and darkness.
Early influences range from Tiamat , Paradise Lost and Dead Can Dance to Draconian , Katatonia or Dark Sanctuary, to name but just a few. Expanding on their 2020 acclaimed sophomore effort "October Dark", their third full-length "Birth Of Tragedy" marks another step forward for WINTEREVE who deliver more complex and compelling material while offering even deeper and thought-provoking lyrics. The intertwined dramatic themes explored here could induce some to go as far as to call "Birth Of Tragedy" a gothic concept album or even a doom metal score for some ancient Greek tragedy.
