Sergio, the artist who is behind Winds of Tragedy, is a chilean multi-instrumentalist, has made his name with his overwhelming doom metal project, "Rise To The Sky", which has accrued listeners and glowing reviews from respected metal media sites worldwide.

The infamously hard to impress Angry Metal Guy have hailed his work for its “stellar song writing”, describing last year’s “Let Me Drown With You” album as music “for times when you want to be crushed by sadness”.

About "As Life As Drifted Away" The inexorable drumming was supplied by Portugal’s Emidio Alexandre Ramos, known for his punishing performances with Adamantine, Colosso and Dark Oath to name but a few.

The production, mixing and mastering duties were handed to Filippos Koliopanos of Aesthetic Soundscape Productions in Athens, Greece who has previously worked his magic with bands like his own Ocean Of Grief and of course, Rise To The Sky, while the distinctive artwork was created by American artist Sean Deloria Black Wolf. Everything else - the song writing, the guitar and synth performances, the vocals, the lyrics, the painful honesty and unflinching integrity all come from Sergio Gonzalez Catalan and were captured at his studio in Santiago.
