Carrying the banner of Brazil’s long-standing legacy in classic metal, São Paulo’s WILD STORM has officially released its debut full-length, The Crimson Dawn — an album forged in the lineage of Running Wild, Judas Priest and Grave Digger, yet delivered with the urgency and pulse of a new generation.
Founded by guitarist and main composer Emerson Aquino, the band began as a vehicle to bring years of writing to life with a full lineup. Joined by vocalist Claudio Santana, bassist Diego Cachigian and drummer Davyd Havier, WILD STORM quickly shaped a sound rooted in heavy metal’s classic grammar — muscular riffs, soaring vocals, memorable hooks and unfiltered conviction — without sacrificing relevance or immediacy. The result is a debut that distills identity, intent and ironclad attitude.
The Crimson Dawn, released in October 2025, plays like a statement of purpose: an album that balances weight and melody, romanticism and rage, reverence and present-tense critique. It is heavy metal in its most essential, articulate and combative form.
Among the highlights are “Legions of Freedom”, an anthemic first single celebrating individual liberty; “Despised Screams”, a teutonic-leaning charge against corruption; and “The Killing Flood”, inspired by the devastating floods in southern Brazil. Other tracks tackle philosophical and human tensions: digital isolation in “When Love Grows Cold”, the brutality of combat in “Unwanted War”, and the apocalyptic eco-warning of the title track “The Crimson Dawn”, which closes the album on a bleak, cinematic note.
Tracked independently, the album captures a deliberate balance between melody, aggression and message — positioning WILD STORM as one of the most convincing new names in the Brazilian traditional metal resurgence.
“This album is the result of years of passion for heavy metal and songwriting. It marks the beginning of a journey we want to share with everyone who still believes in the strength of heavy music made with truth,” says Emerson Aquino.
Following the strong initial response, WILD STORM is now preparing its next steps: the physical CD edition (currently in production in partnership with Storm Atoom Records, among others), the filming of a music video for “Despised Screams”, and a series of live shows across Brazil’s underground circuit.
