Ottawa’s melodic metallers Whispers In The Maze announced the upcoming release of their second EP titled Stories Untold: Chapter I.
When asked about the EP’s title, the band explains:
“As implied in the title, Stories Untold: Chapter I is mostly a collection of older songs written by previous line ups of Whispers In The Maze. For example, the track Ink is a re-recording of the first demo we ever put out. The exception would be Poisoning Imagination, which was composed more recently by the band in its present form. Chapter I also implies the existence of a Chapter II, which is still in the works at this time. We decided to split Stories Untold into two halves so we could release new material sooner rather than later.”
Stories Untold: Chapter I is Whispers In The Maze’s first recording where guitarist Emine Topcu and bassist Benjamin Bertrand are sharing lead vocal duties.
The initial release of Stories Untold: Chapter I is to be in digital formats exclusively. Physical mediums will follow to combine both installments of the Stories Untold two-part series after Chapter II is released sometime next year.
