Wayfarer: Pre-Order of New Album “Riders of the Setting Sun” Now Live!
Vesperian is proud to open the pre-order for WAYFARER‘s forthcoming album, Riders of the Setting Sun.
Alongside the pre-order launch, the band unveils the album’s new single “Hollow Hearts On The Trail To Eden” (track 7), paired with an official music video. A somber, melancholic centerpiece carried by an epic guitar solo, the song follows a weary traveler reckoning with doubt, betrayal, and the weight of his own mistakes as winter closes in – a hollow heart, carried in his wake, buried with his name.
With Riders of the Setting Sun, WAYFARER also step onto new ground. Produced for the first time by Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe), with James Barone (Beach House) and Iver Sandøy (Enslaved) behind the recording and mix, the album folds threads of post-punk, American folk, and rock and roll into the sound the band has spent a decade building – a quiet but deliberate step beyond the extreme metal scene that first defined them.
The album’s artwork was created by the celebrated artist Tony Stella, renowned for his work within the film poster world. Stella’s cover for Riders of the Setting Sun numbers among his final works before his passing earlier this year – WAYFARER and Vesperian are honored to have collaborated with him.
Riders of the Setting Sun will be available as Digipak CD, Tape, and Vinyl LP, the latter featuring a dedicated LP booklet and OBI strip.
