THR33 SIXT33N is the teenage modern metalcore/hardcore movement who combine isolation and art to create an era defying sound, Step. By. Step. The Stoke-On-Trent quartet (who are all only 16 years old) shows no intention of slowing down, with brutal, bleeding intensity and wide melodic power they are telling the story of yet to come.
The outbreak of THR33 SIXT33N began in 2024, and in such a short time they have created a whole new outlook on the scene. The aim of the movement is not to just create as much mayhem as possible, as much of a specialty that may be, but to also tell the lifelong tale of human suffering. Through chaotic live shows, image and sound, We Are All One. Together. As, THR33 SIXT33N.
'Pins & N(33)dles' is a song written about the process of grieving a toxic relationship in which you were always the one giving & reaching out yet you just ended up getting used and cheated on. This song was made to be a way of expressionism. A way of explaining and feeling the irreparable mental damage that this type of relationship brings to you through the emotional anger type of approach. It is made as more of a call out to the person who abused you and hurt you and was written to replicate the moment in which you finally realise it wasn’t all your fault and that through wanting to be loved you just got mistreated.
These lyrics were written from a personal perspective but in a way where it can be anyone’s line to sing, a way that is connecting and a way that makes this problem more than just an experience, but a worldwide story. A cry if you will. This title was chosen as a metaphor for the pain, the emptiness and the numbness that being used in this way brings to you and how (as referenced lyrically) it feels like pins and needles. This song was our own personal way of saying, from us to you, you’re not alone, it’s not your fault and one day it’ll all be okay.
