The last remaining edgemetal act from Belgium brings forth ‘Despair’. This nine-song blistering attack delves into the rotting world. Melodic yet raw, INVICTUS presents a manifesto of humanity’s uncertain path - an unpleasant exploration of the brutal hypocrisy, social indifference and inhumanity of mankind. Resulting in a grim world filled with emptiness, desolation and even suicide.
With entwining bursts of spitting blackness and haunting melodies, this latest offering from INVICTUS draws as much inspiration from a certain melodic death metal scene in Gothenburg as it does from the northern chilling winds of darkened thrones and dissected storms.
