THE VULTURE to release "s/t" on April 30th!
“We are Motörhead and we play Rock ‘n’ Roll!” When THE VULTURE first created their bandcamp page they created their version of the late Lemmy Kilmister’s legendary opening statement to all Motörhead shows. “We play Death Metal” is all you find in terms of self-description on the THE VULTURE’s bandcamp page. Besides their self-titled debut EP, of course. Nuff said.
The EP is a strong statement by itself. Self-released in digital format in 2020, this is an impressive first sign of life from the Americans and will keep Death Metal maniacs around the globe nodding their head in rhythm. It consists of six tracks and a little over 20 minutes of US Death Metal reminding listeners of role model bands like Cannibal Corpse or Deicide. While honoring the style of the pioneers, THE VULTURE are enriching their musical statement with small bits of more modern subgenres like Deathcore and Brutal Death Metal. Pure massacre, cut by heavy breakdowns and slowly dragging grooves. Like being hit hard in the face, but left longing for more.
This strictly limited cassette edition of the s/t EP, which was picked up by German Death Metal underground authority Corrupted Flesh Records shortly after the digital self-release, will be the first physical format release by THE VULTURE.
CFR is already planning a full length debut on vinyl and a merch collection with the band, so watch out for more THE VULTURE stuff to come!
