BROOKLYN, NY – MAY 16, 2024 – The New York hardcore festival Black n Blue Bowl is welcomed back to The Brooklyn Monarch this weekend for its 2024 edition on Saturday, May 18th and Sunday, May 19th.

Ghost Cult Magazine calls this event a “hardcore fan’s dream come true.” Attendees of this festival can look forward to experiencing hard-hitting tracks straight from the pit by some of the most legendary hardcore punk groups around.

The iconic New York-based hardcore group Agnostic Front will headline day one as they celebrate 40 years of their debut album, 1984’s Victim in Pain. They will play it in full along with their debut EP, 1983’s United Blood. Other bands featured on day one include Slapshot, Conservative Military Image, DMIZE, Get The Shot, Full Blown Chaos (celebrating 20 years of their album Wake The Demons), Bayway, The World, Exit Strategy, Newcomer, and Shoot Da 5.

On Sunday, Santa Cruz-based punk band DRAIN will headline a hardcore “Beach Party” as part of the festival, along with other bands on the scene, including Madball, Terror, Scowl, Regulate, End It, Trail of Lies, and Private Mind.


Opened in 2020, The Brooklyn Monarch is a 10,000 sq ft venue located in the heart of East Williamsburg.
