Dutch doom-metal collective Ter Ziele is proud to announce the upcoming release of their debut album, Embodiment of Death, due out on February 28 via Tartarus Records. This marks the culmination of years of refining their unique take on doom metal, blending emotionally-charged riffs, fragile melodies, and introspective vocals.
The band’s distinctive sound has earned them recognition for pushing the boundaries of doom, while incorporating elements of blackgaze and post-black metal. Invisible Oranges premiered the album’s leading single, "The Separation of Body and Soul", commenting, "the Dutch outfit incorporate blackgaze into their music, specifically with vocals that harken back to screamo but with a bit more body. That being said, Ter Ziele are unmistakably a doom metal band."

The band had this to say about the new song: "If our body and soul are in a state of dementia and decline, our longing for death only grows stronger. When do we speak of the moment when the body and soul become separated? When is it that we are truly dead? It is in such moments that we more frequently imagine the journey after our passing, and where this journey will lead us. In the end, we all long to exchange the temporal for the eternal."
