Australian blackened death-metal project Tenebrific, featuring members of Golgothan Remains and Decrepid today share their entire debut EP "Labyrinth of Anguish", ahead of the release set for next Monday, April 8th.
The full EP is now playing at No Clean Singing, who had this to say about the release: "It’s an undeniably vicious experience, yet it’s exultant, even jubilant. The music soars in splendor, reaching blazing, exhilarating heights you might never dream of after you listen to the EP’s soul-suffocating opener."
With its haunting melodies, bone-crushing riffs, and visceral atmosphere of dread, this 22 minute EP titled "Labyrinth of Anguish" offers a glimpse into the abyss of existential despair, inviting listeners to confront their own inner demons and navigate the labyrinth of anguish. It's a haunting effort that is just as terrifying as it is ferocious and the band let you know what it's all about on tracks like "Tormenting Shadows", where a gloomy atmosphere drenched in feedback and noise gives way to a devilish blackened death-metal attach nicely complemented by some epic and melodic guitar leads.
A studio project crafted by Adam Martin (Golgothan Remains, Sarcophagum) in collaboration with Cris Bassan (Decrepid), Tenebrific stands as a testament to the boundless depths of human suffering and the eternal struggle against the darkness that lurks within.
With guitar leads provided by Peter Bursky (Sumeru, Brilliant Emperor) and Jay Dawkins (Ex-Repugnant Inebriation) and demoniacal drums played by Robin Stone (Blast Bunker), "Labyrinth of Anguish" was meticulously mixed and mastered by Greg Chandler at Priory Recording Studios and features intricate artwork of Ivan A (@serpentchron).
