Stockholm’s blackened crust/d-beat/hardcore punk duo FRUSEN SORG has release a new music video for the song “Att Slippa Bli Älskad,” taken from the band’s upcoming album “Smärtpunkter” to be released on June 5th via Widsith Records.

Pre-order the album “Smärtpunkter“ on Bandcamp: https://frusensorg.bandcamp.com/album/sm-rtpunkter

“Smärtpunkter“ is the first album by FRUSEN SORG, and was never planned to exist. Martin Sandström and Kalle Mattsson have played music together since 1995, and FRUSEN SORG started as a cathartic side project. Most of the songs were written and recorded in one single evening, as a private outlet of pent up emotions and a wish for quick and effortless songwriting. Riffs were written and combined on the spot, after 30 years of playing together songs come easy. Martin played drums and Kalle bass on live takes, Kalle wrote the lyrics while Martin recorded the guitar, the lyrics recorded immediately after, and that’s what you hear on the album. Most of it first takes, some of the vocals are the very first times Kalle sang into a microphone.

It happened by accident, but quite soon it became clear that this was a proper band, it sounded great and was an incredibly liberating experience to make the music. The plan was to mix and release on their own, but it became evident that it would be a waste to not bring a professional to work on the record. So Henrik Wikner of Studio Vinden, an old friend and previous bandmate, mixed and mastered the songs.
