Five years after the release of Paradiso (2020) – the concluding chapter of the trilogy dedicated to Dante's Divine Comedy – Starbynary return with an ambitious new project. On September 27, 2025, via Elevate Records, "Romeo and Juliet, Pt. I" will see the light, the first volume of a concept album inspired by the immortal work of William Shakespeare.
Led by founders Joe Caggianelli (vocals) and Luigi Accardo (keyboards), Starbynary continue their exploration at the crossroads of literature and music, shifting their focus from the Dantean epic to the Shakespearean tragedy. The new work moves on progressive terrain rich with intricate structures, complex harmonies, and a refined dialogue between modernity and tradition, with influences ranging from Baroque lyricism to 17th-century Italian music.
Alongside the confirmed Alfonso Mocerino (drums) and Sebastiano Zanotto (bass), the line-up is notably strengthened by the arrival of guitarist Alessandro Cossu (formerly a member of Ashent), whose contribution promises to enrich the band's sound. Adding further prestige to the work is the special participation of Baroque soprano Anna Piroli, who interprets the role of Juliet.
