Fallen Choir is a one-man metal band created by Cory Naegeli, who hails from Portland, OR. After playing in a few small bands, he felt it was time to start something new. Cory was born March 8th, 1991 in the small town of Tillamook Oregon. Coming from a musical family he started playing drums but eventually laid the sticks down and picked up the guitar. It was also around that time that he was introduced to extreme metal. Bands like Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, and Behemoth using the sound of orchestral music behind enormous black metal drums and guitar created a new passion in him. These are the bands that have influenced the sound of Fallen Choir.
Combining the emotions brought from symphonic strings and horns with black metal vocals to explore the dark truths of greed, power, and religion. Everything from the music to the artwork has been created by Cory. Recording, mixing, and mastering was all done in his home studio. Everything has been a self-taught process even though he has never received any forms of education in music or the arts.
