Shadows Lurking Underneath Time release the Album, "Legacy of Shadows"

April 12, 2025 - Portuguese multi-instrumentalist Melkor returns with

Legacy of Shadows, the devastating new release from his atmospheric

project Shadows Lurking Underneath Time. Serving as the second and final

chapter of a deeply emotional concept, this album brings closure to the

tragic narrative that began with 2024’s Four Shadows of Ruin.

Together, the two albums form a two-part tale of untold sorrow and

unresolved grief, chronicling the harrowing journey of Ana and her

daughter, two souls engulfed by love, betrayal, and the inescapable pull

of darkness. Legacy of Shadows dives into the final descent, where loss

distorts reality and the echoes of past trauma blur the line between

memory and madness.

 From the raw and poetic lyricism to the haunting atmospheres, the album

explores the fragility of the human spirit when caught in a relentless

cycle of suffering. Melkor performs all instruments and vocals, writes

all lyrics, and creates the entire artwork, once again crafting a

singular, cohesive artistic vision.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Studios13 during January 2025, Legacy

of Shadows captures every nuance of emotion and despair. The album also

features a special guest appearance by Jorge Matos on clean vocals,

whose haunting delivery adds a ghostly beauty to the bleak narrative.
