SHADOWMASS UNLEASHES "INTO WASTELANDS"

In a world crumbling under the weight of its own decay, Athenian Heavy/Thrash triad SHADOWMASS emerges from the void to deliver the soundtrack to the collapse. Following a relentless touring cycle that saw them decimate stages across the Balkans and Central Europe alongside extreme metal titans Suffocation and Belphegor, the band proudly announces the release of their blistering new single, "Into Wastelands."

This track serves as the harbinger for their highly anticipated sophomore full-length album, "Wastelands," scheduled for international release on January 19, 2026, through the legendary heritage label Floga Records.

THE ARCHITECTURE OF CHAOS

Forged during a three-year period of disciplined creativity at Ignite Studio and meticulously tracked at Pentagram Studio in Athens, the track represents a quantum leap in the band’s sonic evolution. Moving beyond the raw, DIY blackened thrash of their 2021 EP Oculus Diaboli, Shadowmass has refined their attack into a precision weapon.

The new material synthesizes the intricate, technical riffing of Coroner and Nevermore with the atmospheric grandeur of Candlemass and the visceral, blackened aggression of Aura Noir and Slayer. It is a sound that balances high-fidelity clarity with the grit of the underground.

A LEGACY FORGED IN THE TRENCHES

Shadowmass is a unit tempered by the road. From their inception in 2019 through the darkness of the pandemic, the trio—Syrakos (Guitars/Vocals), Votsis (Drums), and Panagiotopoulos (Bass)—has executed a deliberate campaign of live dominance.

Fresh off the Black Curse Tour (September 2025) and a prestigious support slot for black metal pioneers Mortuary Drape, Shadowmass brings the ferocity of the stage directly into the recording booth. The upcoming album captures this energy, presenting a cohesive vision of heavy metal that pays homage to the masters while carving its own path through the ruins.
