French post-metal/progressive metal band Septaria is thrilled to announce the full album stream of their highly anticipated debut album Astar, set to be released this Friday n November 15, 2024, via Klonosphere/Season of Mist. Ahead of the album's official release, Decibel Magazine is hosting the full album stream, which offers fans a first listen to this stunning and dynamic musical journey.
Decibel Magazine describes Astar as “from quiet shoegazey moments to Gojira-esque poundage. It’s all about extreme dynamics, but done with precision and maximum impact, both emotional and stylistic. The quiet parts are whispery and the loud parts crushing. Sounds easier to pull off successfully than it is, but these four navigate the calm/stormy waters expertly.”
In their own words, the band shared: “Astar is an invitation to look beyond oneself—not to escape, but to see in it the reflection of our condition. It encourages us to draw strength to confront our own reality. As we admire the cold beauty of a starry sky, we also contemplate the abysses of our minds.”
Born from the fusion of metal’s power and immersive soundscapes, Septaria plays a captivating mix of post-metal and progressive metal that emotionally captures the duality of the human experience: suffering and happiness, pain and joy. Their sound merges the colossal modern metal of Gojira with the dreamy post-rock atmospheres of Slowdive, creating a journey that’s both powerful and atmospheric, balancing aggressive and melodic passages.
Comprised of Hugo Thevenot (guitar/vocals), Hugo Leydet (drums), Baptiste Trébuchon (bass), and Maxime Ayasse (guitar/vocals), Septaria is set to release their debut album, Astar, on November 15, 2024, via Klonosphere/Season of Mist. The album delves deep into the human soul, exploring the connection between the mind’s inner psyche and the vastness of the universe, confronting fundamental questions about existence and offering the strength needed to face reality.
