Selvajaria Records proudly presents the debut album fromthe SWEDISH raw lo-fi metalish crust band: CATACHREST

Catachrest started out in Malmö, Sweden in 2020, when Åsa (guitar/vocals) and Andreas (bass) started talking about doing some Lo-Fi metal together. The lineup was completed when they hunted down Selle on drums. They play primitive black thrash metal with influences in the old teutonic thrash scene, norwegian black thrash, and swedish crust.

The debut album is composed in two parts, first four tracks are taken from the " Target of Distortion " EP officially released in July 2025 and the last four songs are taken from the August 2021 demo " Ruiner ", which was re-remix and recorded with additional guitars in 2025.

This makes the album a compilation of everything the band has recorded so far. And it's where the title of the album comes in a mix between the titles of the two latest releases : TARGET OF RUIN .

8 monstrous tracks of lo-fi raw and fast metalic dark tunes, with a lot twist between down times and very fast pacing beat with abrasive vocals, sometimes reminds old Bathory, the dissonant, abrasive guitar parts reminds some old Voivod, a lot of textures in almost 30min for the fan of old school grindcore, crust, punk, swedish hardcore, 80s teutonic thrash and 2nd wave black metal.
