Seilies returns with a new EP, Between Truth & Lies, scheduled for September 5th on vinyl, CD, and digital formats.
Seilies (pronounced SEE-LEES) is a three-piece metalcore band from Madison, Wisconsin. Formed in 2018, they’ve released a full-length, Tribulation & Augmentation, along with two EPs: Changes (2021) and Fake It (2023). The band has performed at numerous venues across Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Indiana, and appeared at major festivals such as Bratfest (Madison), Taste of Madison, Northwoods Rock Rally (Glen Flora), and Rockfest (Cadott), sharing stages with Nonpoint, Hed PE, Red, Gemini Syndrome, Shallow Side, Versus Me, Shim, and many others.
An entirely self-produced outing, bereft of any outside assistance, Seilies’s upcoming EP Between Truth & Lies probes the tension between aggression and harmony, blending prog-driven breakdowns, gripping choruses, and bursts of extreme metal ferocity within the band’s metalcore arsenal. Though the tracks have a modern edge, they carry enough grit and intensity to push past the genre’s usual delicate side. The lyrics match that energy, balancing defiance with vulnerability and digging into themes of resilience, betrayal, and self-liberation.
Seilies is gearing up for a slew of live shows in support of the EP, including a performance in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on September 19.
