Saskatoon's Pythonic erupts into a new era with the release of their brand‑new music video for “Set You Free”. The video is unleashed in support of the band’s third EP, "Laws of Karma," unveiled on July 10th, 2026, marking the most aggressive and evolved chapter in the band’s history.
The current lineup stands as a rebirth, a heavier, tighter, more destructive force rising from the ashes of the old formation. As the band states.
“Raw energy at the helm and a more aggressive attack brings forth our new direction and sound on some groovy tracks.”
“Set You Free” is one of Pythonic’s most explosive tracks, a blistering death‑groove assault that confronts corruption and abuse within organized religion. Its lyrical message is “Set you free from this holy lie… Religion spreads hate, Pedophiles rule the world, and the bible is blasphemy.”
Musically, the track is a long‑developed, driven banger by lead guitarist Ryan Hunter featuring a crushing verse riff that has dominated their live sets. It has a ripping solo that fans have already latched onto, along with its joint vocals from frontman Morgan and guitarist Vincent, who amplify the track’s intensity. Chosen as a single for its sheer impact and replay value,
“While evaluating the mixes, this was definitely a track everyone went back to over and over to listen to. The song’s core riffs never really changed… they were just such solid riffs over the years and got the crowd moving,” says the band.
