ROYAL JAKE released the first single, "Defined"
On thursday the 1st of September, ROYAL JAKE released a new single called ‘Defined’ on all major streaming platforms.
Simultaneously the new video for ‘Defined’ premiered on the band's official YouTube channel.
‘Defined’ is the first new song released by ROYAL JAKE since the ‘Retaliate/the Answer’ EP (which was released back in 2016) and presents a new chapter for the band. It is the first acquaintance with the more melodic sound that will typify the new album. The influence of Tijs, who joined the band after the release of RTA, has certainly something to do with this. The production and mix also had a big influence on the new ROYAL JAKE sound. Credits to ‘Roelof Klop productions’ and ‘Kjell De Raes’ on that.
The single is accompanied by a fantastic new video also released on September the 1st. For this video the band worked together with the award winning cinematographer ‘Alexander Decommere’. This results in an atypical video with a strong cinematic approach.
CHRONICLES OF A DIVIDED SPECIES pt.1
With ‘Defined’ the band delivers a foretaste of the upcoming new album called ‘Chronicles of a Divided Species’. Pt.1 of this new album will be released towards the end of the year. Pt.2 is been expected to be released in 2023.
