Hungarian progressive and blackened melodic death metal band Rivers Ablaze have released "Liftoach Pandemonium", the first single from their upcoming EP Inexternal Dread Part II: Tension, due on July 24, 2026 via Inertial Music.

Just three months after the release of their fifth full-length album Inexternal Dread, the band reveals that the record was only the opening chapter of a much larger artistic vision. Together with the forthcoming EPs the project forms a complete three-part conceptual work exploring psychological collapse through increasingly intense musical and visual chapters.

The new single, "Liftoach Pandemonium", is a blistering assault of blackened melodic death metal, combining furious blast beats, razor-sharp riffing and an oppressive atmosphere while pushing Rivers Ablaze into their most extreme territory to date.

The artwork for Inexternal Dread Part II: Tension has been entrusted to acclaimed Swedish artist Niklas Sundin (Dark Tranquillity, Mitochondrial Sun, Time and the Hunter), whose haunting, subtly Lovecraftian illustration perfectly reflects the EP's fractured psychological themes.

Founded in Budapest by guitarist Márton Kertész (Sear Bliss, Special Providence), Rivers Ablaze features an accomplished lineup drawn from some of Hungary's most respected extreme metal acts:

Oszkár Knapp – vocals (Fragda, Grizzly, ex-Insane)

Márton Kertész – guitars (Sear Bliss, Special Providence)

Márton "Moth" Ferenczi – guitars (Fragda, Needless) - recording artist and mixing engineer for “Inexternal Dread"

Pál Purnhauser – bass (Divided, Mind's Mirrors)

Tadeusz Rieckmann – drums (Týr, ex-Dalriada)

Following extensive touring across Europe with Sear Bliss, Rivers Ablaze joined the roster of Inertial Music, where the band continues to expand the ambitious Inexternal Dread universe.
