The North Moravian doom metal scene of the 1990s was a phenomenon that was not created artificially, but arose spontaneously, lasted only a few years and left indelible memories. In the following years, the bands evolved musically and more or less abandoned their roots. In addition to the names that cannot be unknown to fans not only of the Czech underground (such as DISSOLVING OF PRODIGY, SILENT STREAM OF GODLESS ELEGY, HYPNOTIC SCENERY or ENDLESS), the doom nineties in North Moravia provided a fertile ground for formations, whose past existence will be recalled only by those who still remember.

One of such bands is RHEA from city Havířov, which attracted attention with their successful demo “Aurasounds” in 1999. By 2003, RHEA left only six songs, including four from the “Aurasounds” tape demo.

In 2024, it is 25 years since the release of “Aurasounds” and it was this anniversary that initiated me to release for the first time on CD!
