Red Dawn Rising started in Kortrijk (Belgium) as a side project in 2007 with members of Headshot (Niels and Peter), Emanuel and members of Sabotage. Headshot got a lot of shows back then and Sabotage started their own new project so Red Dawn Rising was put on hold before it really got anywhere. In 2011 Niels, Peter and Emanuel decided to get back at it and Arne joined as guitar player. The spot of vocalist/frontman stayed open for over a year and when Arne decided to put his guitar aside and grab the mic, Roderik joined and took over guitar.

So in 2012 Red Dawn Rising was complete, recorded their first demo "Days of Disbelief" and played shows alongside bands like My Aim, Pride Zero, STAB, Omerta, Signs of Algorithm, Planey, Headshot, ...

The next years we all became fathers so Red Dawn Rising eventually didn't get the time and energy it deserved. While the band Red Dawn Rising was no longer active, we still got together for talks and drinks. We always felt like it was unfinished so in 2020 we re-recorded our old songs and added our new ones to create our album "Weight of the world".

Some of us also started Malfested in 2020, released their first EP "Shallow Graves" and are already recording their second.

"Weight of the World" is a concept album concerning the spoiled and lazy attitude of so many people in these days of disbelief. You can consider this a wake up call to take the first step and explore the borders of your personal creativity. Doing this, you will always achieve an original outcome and provoke positive or negative feedback.

Listen, learn and never stop improving yourselves.

A new dawn brings new opportunities.

"Weight of the World" is recorded, mixed and mastered in 2020 by Red Dawn Rising.
