Humanity is withering away, becoming extinct as a result of its own greed and corruption. Man’s empire on planet Earth is in utter decline, and this is the main theme set forth by Rebel Souls’ music and lyrics on Dawn Of Depravity, their earsplitting sophomore record, as well as by its exceptional cover artwork, created by Australian maestro Mitchell Nolte (Aborted, Baest …).

Five years after their debut album, The Forces Of Darkness, this ferocious death metal band, originally founded in Germany in 2000, but re-formed in Málaga in 2013, attacks more bluntly than ever, placing the spotlight on musical and lyrical maturity, as well as speed, dynamics, variety… and sheer brutality.

In 2019, Thomas Plewnia stepped down from an active role, but Rebel Souls still have second founding member Stefan Hielscher (bass, vocals) in their ranks, together with Alex Guerrero (guitars, backing vocals), Tornay (guitars) and Arnau Martí, the devastating drummer of Noctem.

The recording and mix carried out at Wave Nation Studios in Ronda, Spain, in combination with the mastering done at Hansen Studios (Aborted, Arch Enemy, Volbeat…) will make fans of Bloodbath, Suffocation, Hour Of Penance or Krisiun lose their minds before these ten furious tracks.

Rebel Souls, who worked with James Stewart (Decapitated, Belphegor, ex-Vader…) as session drummer in the past, have toured Europe with Noctem, Grabak or Dead, and face our species’ grim future with critical spirit and relentless death metal, ruthlessly portraying this new era of degeneration with Dawn Of Depravity.
