HARKON reveal:
"'Blood Will Have Blood' is a proverb meaning that violence breeds more violence, a concept famously expressed by Macbeth in Shakespeare's eponymous play. So this song is about action and consequence, about forgiveness and foolishness. About doing what maybe needs to be done even if it may seem like wasted time. Wait, is that why the song pays tribute to Iron Maiden's 'Wasted Years' in the middle part? Who knows ..."
✍️ LYRICS
Will you forgive us?
For things we did not do
And things we did to you
Will you come with us?
Into a virtuous war
That we did not ask for
Here come the righteous and the right
Blood will have blood tonight
Will you forgive us?
For things we did not say
And all the times we turned away
Will you come with us?
And join in our fight
Blood will have blood tonight
Here come the righteous and the right
Blood will have blood tonight
Shut the door, turn off the light
Blood will have blood tonight
Will you see us through?
And take us by the hand?
Will you please undo?
This can not be the end
Here come the righteous and the right
All set for battle bonafide
Their blades are shining oh so bright
That's because blood will have blood tonight
For the powerful, transparent, and wonderfully organic overall sound of their songs, HARKON once again relied on a well-established producer duo:
Cornelius Rambadt (Disbelief, Bonded, Sodom, The Very End) handled the recording and mixing, while Dennis Koehne (Lacuna Coil, Caliban, Orden Ogan) took care of the mastering.
The result is an organic, powerful, yet modern sound that perfectly captures the essence of Progressive and Melodic Heavy Metal.
