Primal Sinner releases single "Oedipus" and inaugurates a new artistic phase!

Primal Sinner releases this Friday, February 20, "Oedipus", the single that marks the evolution of the creative cycle of the Colombian metal band.

The track is part of the upcoming new album 'DRÂMA', in which sound, narrative and reflection go together, reaffirming the band's proposal, which understands music not only as entertainment, but as language and experience.

Produced by brothers Fabian and Jhon Tejada, mixed by Jens Bogren (Sepultura, Arch Enemy, Testament, Opeth) and mastered by Bob Katz, "Oedipus" was born guided by the Parnassian energy (focusing on "art for art's sake") of the group's creative process.

On the development of the track, Fabian Tejada comments:

"As the piece developed, this musical energy began to suggest something timeless, almost ancient. Naturally, it resonated with stories that have inhabited the human imagination for thousands of years. This connection led us to the figure of Oedipus, one of the oldest and most emblematic tragic characters, who seemed to embody the timeless force present in music.

However, instead of retelling the classic narrative, we felt that this character could speak differently to contemporary ears. The song has become an opportunity to reinterpret Oedipus, to change perspective and explore his story in a way that reflects a more modern and introspective understanding of chance, fate and tragedy."
