Post metal-quintet LATE NIGHT VENTURE releases first single from new album!

The Copenhagen, Denmark based post metal ensemble LATE NIGHT VENTURE has a long history which now continues with the release of the quintet’s fifth album ‘V: Bones Of The Extinct’ on March 17th 2023 through Trepanation Recordings and Vinyltroll Records. Today, the quintet shares the first single from the album in the shape of the ultra heavy ‘Mammut’ showcasing the band’s bleak aesthetics and well defined songwriting while unfolding the album theme of humankind and its future on planet earth.
Singer/guitarist and one of the band’s two lyricists Michael Falk elaborates on the song: “‘Mammut’ was named ‘Mammut’ before the lyrics were written, because the riffs are heavy and grandiose. Then the words came to me from the conception of the mammoth: "Build with the bones of the extinct; waiting to fall", The mammoth was a magnificent beast, which became prey for humans, as it was able to optimize our living conditions, and then it went extinct. This type of transaction takes place all the time. So the ‘bones of the extinct’ is the structure, and ‘Waiting to fall’, because this structure always demands resources, which most likely cannot be extracted again.” LATE NIGHT VENTURE has just announced four March dates alongside fellow Danes sludge metal trio Dirt Forge and post hardcore-combo Kollapse, including shows in Denmark, Norway and Germany.
