OUT TODAY! VOIDMAKER - "A Cold, Unyielding Universe”

The project brings together multi-instrumentalist Joe McAnaney and vocalist Tom McRann. Across ten tracks, the album moves through blackened thrash, death metal and technical extreme metal, with fast riffing, progressive structures and a strong narrative pull. The record follows a journey into deep space, from the opening “Starfall” to the closing “Wormhole / Lightchaser”, using its cosmic setting to frame ideas of expansion, survival and the unknown.

Joe McAnaney handles guitars, drums and bass, giving the album its drive and technical side, while Tom McRann’s vocals bring the harsher, more urgent feel. Songs like “The Post-Human Emergence”, “Project Infinity”, “Terminus” and “Of Digital Creation” show VOIDMAKER moving between speed, melody and more complex sections, always keeping the science fiction concept in view.

The album was mixed and mastered by Rob Kukla at Obsidian Recording Studios. The cover artwork was created by Adam Burke of Nightjar Illustration.
