Infernal Cult, originally a solo project by Martjern from Prague, just released their new album, Necessity of Unreal.
The journey started with the 2015 demo, "Last Hope". Over the years, Infernal Cult has released several EPs and singles, including "In the Night of Snowfall", "Cold Mortem" and the popular "Son of Babalon". The project reached a new milestone in 2018 with the release of its first full-length album, "All the Lights Faded", which garnered significant attention across Europe. By 2019, Martjern had assembled a full lineup, and Infernal Cult began performing live.
Infernal Cult delves into the darker aspects of life—pain, suffering, guilt, doubts, and mental health struggles. The project explores the belief that enduring suffering and agony can lead to higher spiritual enlightenment. It’s about the internal battles, the journey to unlock your true self, and confronting the greatest adversary: oneself.
The concept of "Necessity of Unreal" represents the need for transformation and spiritual renewal. It reflects the emotional turmoil and self-betrayal experienced when one strays from their true path. Musically, "Necessity of Unreal" marks a significant evolution, showcasing a fresh style and substantial progress from previous releases.
