"Accept the Vile Gifts of the Dead" is the debut full-length from Ancient Malice, a raw death metal band formed by Steve Maher (ex-Abaddon Incarnate). The album was recorded live in their rehearsal space — no edits, no triggers, no tricks. Just straight-up death metal, loud and unapologetic.

With members of Coldwar and engineering handled by drummer Adam Power, the band leans into the harsh, untamed spirit of late '80s underground metal. It’s aggressive and stripped back, capturing the feeling of a time when things were dirtier, rougher, and more real.

The artwork, created by Sean Fitzgerald (Protest Zone), fits the mood — bleak, direct, and rooted in the same uncompromising energy that runs through every track.

This isn’t a throwback or a tribute. It’s a record made by people who live and breathe this sound. No gimmicks, just the weight of the riffs and the intention behind them.
