October Thorns Featuring David Z To Release "Circle Game" Oct. 29th!

The first single from the highly anticipated album from Brooklyn’s best prog-metal band, October Thorns will be available for download and streaming on Oct. 29th.

This album is a remix of the band’s original 6 song demo released in 1999. At the helm is Alex Argento from Italy’s, Icefish and the modern production and mix really make the songs shine. Several bonus tracks from that time will also be included.

Bassist David Z was discovered when Thorns played the Savatage Convention just as that band was forming the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. David Z was a part of the East Coast version of the group since its inception, only taking a year off to tour with his band, ZO2 as the opening act for the KISS/ Poison tour in 2004. Tragically, he was killed in a vehicle crash in 2017 while on the road with Adrenaline Mob. A portion of the proceeds from “Circle Game”will go towards the David Z Foundation, a non-profit scholarship fund.

A video for this single will be available in mid-November and has footage of 19 yr. old David Z’s first performance with the band and an extended, live, bass solo.

The 2nd single, “Page One” will be released January 14th, 2021 and the full album is scheduled for release on CD and vinyl in early 2022.

Vocalist, Paul LaPlaca who was also a part of the KISS tour, went on to play with Chris Caffery (TSO/ Savatage), Ted Poley (Danger Danger), and THOR and is available for interviews at info.octoberthorns@gmail.com. High quality wav versions of “Circle Game” are available for review upon request.
