Following the success of their debut EP and a massive 2025 European tour, the Athenian alternative metal powerhouse Oathswan unveils their most ambitious single yet: “Birds and Snakes.”

Emerging from the seasoned DNA of the Greek metal scene (with members having cut their teeth in Mask of Prospero, Gentihaa, and Aetherian), Oathswan has quickly evolved from a promising newcomer to a “must-watch” act.

“Birds and Snakes” serves as the definitive gateway to their upcoming full-length collection, “Heirloom.”

Deeply influenced by cinematic scores and the high-tension narratives of modern gaming, “Birds and Snakes” explores the psychological battleground of human betrayal.

“If you have friends like this, then why do you need enemies?”

The track is a sonic tug-of-war, crushing Djent-infused riffs (reminiscent of Northlane and Periphery) collide with the haunting, ethereal atmosphere of Sleep Token and Bad Omens.

It is a dark, romantic defiance against a “shallow present,” delivered with the precision of a band that has shared stages with giants like Dimmu Borgir, Tesseract, and Thy Art Is Murder.
