There is a before and after in the Azores Heavy Metal scene. The emergence of Morbid Death marks exactly this separation, coupled with a starting point, towards audacity, determination and a dream... to build an unprecedented band with a sound never before tested. Amplifiers at maximum and let's make history...
And this is the story that begins in September of the now distant year of 1990. Ricardo Santos, Dinis Costa, Miguel Verissimo and Pedro Rodrigues decided to join forces and build a legacy that, even today, is recognized at all levels, in almost every corner of the world.
Between demo tapes, albums, music videos, concerts, tours and line-up renewals, the band, led from the beginning by Ricardo Santos, always knew how to reinvent itself and adapt, even to the most adverse situations... or they wouldn't have been born in the Azores.
The most recent proof of this is called VEIL OF ASHES and it was released on March 13, 2026, under Firecum Records / Museu do Heavy Metal Açoriano labels.
The legacy lives on and intends to remain so…
