Nephylim was founded in 2015 by friends Kevin van Geffen (guitar) and Rens van de Ven (first on guitar, later on bass).
From the start it was immediately clear in which style the band would operate: the Gothenburg melodic death metal.
After a number of line-up changes, the band has had the same line-up for years now, with the latest addition being Tijn Bosters as singer, also known from Depths of Kronos and Basterd Bound.
In the summer of 2021, the band was asked to play a Corona-proof concert in the W2 in Den Bosch, where they impressed programmer Rob van der Ham. “I was immediately captivated by the band. A very unique sound and they know exactly how to convey it. Then I immediately thought of Music Hub, because this band deserves an extra push and can certainly use it.”
'Circuition' is the long-awaited follow-up to the debut album 'Severance of Serenity'.
Just like the debut album, 'Circuition' is a conceptual album that explores the concepts of 'the cycle of life' and the 'wheel of fate'. Each song on the record is connected to a meaning or state of being, such as the origin of life: birth, the consequences of old age or everyone's perception of the circulation of life.
By pushing the boundaries in terms of overall production and quality, music and lyrical compositions, 'Circuition' has become a product that is considered to be suitable for the global elite.
With the help of a crowdfunding campaign, the public has supported the band financially and made it clear that they are excited and ready for 'Circuition'.
