Bay Area post-metal, doomgazers MOUNTAINEER will release their eagerly anticipated fifth full-length album, Dawn And All That Follows, on July 26th with new label partners A Thousand Arms Music (US) and Dunk!records (EU). The impending release follows the band's cult favorite 2020 album Bloodletting and the critically praised mid-pandemic record Giving Up The Ghost.
With Dawn And All That Follows the band emerges after 18 months of painstaking writing, rehearsing and recording their next chapter, with one of the band's most vivid, luscious efforts to date. Featuring standout tracks like "Cradlesong," "Parallels" and "Prism," the Ben Hirschfield (Mom Jeans, The Story So Far, Against Me!) produced record soars through epic peaks and valleys of beautiful atmospheric bliss and torrential heavy torment.
Guitarist Clayton Bartholomew had this to say about the new record: “I think with Dawn and All That Follows, we took our time and really focused on developing the songs. A lot of thought went into the composition and flow of the album. Attention to detail with the songwriting was more prevalent this time around… we wanted to write a collection of the best songs we could. As with all our previous albums, we recorded at Nu-Tone Studios with Ben Hirschfield producing. I think you can hear not only the evolution of the band in terms of songwriting over our five albums, but you can also hear Ben’s growth as a producer, engineer and mixer.”
