The album was self-produced by the band and recorded between Venice and Rome during spring and summer 2025. Mixing and mastering were handled by Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio in Rome.

The cover artwork was created by painter Sheila Franco from a graphic concept based on the idea of the dying city. The lion, symbol of Venice, is shown as a chimera of itself, sinking with the city, with the book closed, the sword broken and the Venetian districts turned into blind serpents.

Resa Marciana was preceded by the single "Sentensa Da Resa". To mark the album release, Membrance have also shared the official music video for "El Cason dei sette Morti".

The band will celebrate the release with a free-entry show on May 30th at Rock n Roll in Milan, with support from The Valley and Cold Raven.
