Melodic death metal band AEON OF AWARENESS are set to release their full-length debut album ‘THE EMBRACING LIGHT OF RAROHENGA.’ After releasing two EPs, the band is ready to debut their sound on a wider scale, delving deep into the world of Māori mythology. The album’s bleak melodic atmosphere envelopes the listener as they are guided through dark themes such as confrontation with death, untamed rage, and even warnings from the perspective of a mighty Kauri tree, addressing humanity’s mistreatment of nature.
AEON OF AWARENESS was formed 2020 by musicians Meta and Per. Those uncertain times inspired them to bundle their creative energies into crafting their vision of honoring the music from their younger days while pushing their sound, and the genre, ever forward.
‘THE EMBRACING LIGHT OF RAROHENGA,’ has its foundations in the classic melodic death movement of the 90’s while embracing a more heavy and modern edge. The songs showcase melodic harmonies against a razor sharp rhythmic edge and extreme vocals, with a focus on dynamic songwriting.
