Melodic black metal band SARDONIC ALLEGIANCE are set to release their new EP, ‘COAST II.’ The four songs offer a rare take on black metal by uniting the vicious traits of the genre against bold, melodic soundscapes through a darkly cinematic presentation. The Dutch black metal studio project was formed in 2009 by multi-instrumentalist Vasco ‘Triest’ Lub and drummer Griendhakker. The duo aims to create black metal in an epic way, through the incorporation of melody and symphonic elements.
‘Coast II’ is the second part of two separate yet connected releases. As the follow up to the well received ‘COAST I’ released last April, ‘COAST II’ honors the foundation that EP set while forging a path all its own, with compositions embracing an ever encroaching darkness but with a flair for dynamic story telling. The striking cover art was created by renowned digital artist Gustavo Sazes, who has done work for labels like Century Media and Nuclear Blast.
