Massacre to release "Resurgence" on Oct 22!
Death metal vets MASSACRE will release their 4th full-length album, Resurgence, on October 22 with Nuclear Blast. Born out of the swamps of the Floridian death metal of the mid-80’s that gave rise to legendary acts like Death, Deicide, Obituary and Morbid Angel among others, Massacre were massively influential to the scene, sharing members with those mentioned and releasing From Beyond, what’s considered by many as one of the greatest metal albums of all time. After nearly 40 years, the band has never sounded so good as they do on their long-awaited forthcoming album, Resurgence. On the new record the band led by long-time members vocalist Kam Lee and bassist Mike Borders were joined by notable metal musicians Rogga Johansson (guitar), Jonny Pettersson (guitar), Scott Fairfax (guitar) and Brynjar Helgetun (drums), as well as a slew of guest musicians including Marc Grewe, Anders Odden and Pete Slate. This is classic, old school death metal that only Massacre could deliver.
