Berlin based Man Looking Man deliver a powerful and uncompromising statement with their debut self titled album, released via Octopus Rising (Argonauta Records) on June 12th in CD and digital formats.
Born from a long and turbulent creative process, the album reflects five years of work marked by setbacks, reinvention and artistic resilience. The result is a focused and intense collection of songs that defines the band’s identity with clarity and urgency.
Musically, Man Looking Man combine post hardcore intensity with experimental textures, raw emotional impact and a strong sense of dynamics. The sound moves between furious outbursts, melodic tension and atmospheric depth, creating a distinctive balance between chaos and control.
Lyrically, the album explores the crisis of contemporary society, the human condition within it and the effort to preserve hope in moments of darkness. The writing reflects a symbolic and politically aware perspective, aiming to move beyond individual isolation and reintroduce ideas of community and shared vision.
The album was entirely self produced and recorded in a fully DIY environment at Maurizio Bergmann Rooftop Studios. Recording, mixing and sound design were handled by the band, allowing complete creative freedom and resulting in a highly personal and authentic sonic signature.
Key highlights include the single Samsara and the new video single Zegepraal, both showcasing the band’s dynamic range and emotional intensity.
