Los Angeles metallic hardcore band Lockslip have unleashed “Gray World,” the first single from their forthcoming debut full-length The Conversation, due November 6 via Bleakhouse, the label founded by industrial-hardcore force King Yosef.
Featuring guest vocals from King Yosef himself, “Gray World” is a crushing first taste of an album that pushes Lockslip’s volatile collision of metallic hardcore, mathcore and metalcore to its limits. Think the raw emotional violence of Converge colliding with the rhythmic disorientation of Car Bomb, driven by breakneck percussion, catastrophic breakdowns and flashes of melody that briefly cut through the chaos.
