Dutch metal band Degenerate returns with Rituals of Rage, their second full-length album, now available on CD and digital platforms. This 10-track release pushes their blend of melodic thrash and modern death metal to new levels — direct, intense and emotionally driven.

Produced, mixed and mastered by Mendel bij de Leij (ex-Aborted), the album was written during a period of personal and global disruption. For the band, Rituals of Rage marks a turning point — a statement of identity shaped by challenge and perseverance.

“This album wasn’t just the next thing to do — it became something we had to make. Every song carries part of what we’ve been through. Mendel helped us bring that intensity to life,” says frontman Rens Hilgers.

Since their formation in 2016, Degenerate has steadily built a name in the Dutch scene, supported by a powerful debut (Devastation Ahead) and live shows alongside Distillator, Acid Drinkers, Disavowed, and others.
