Lux Mortalis, from Italy, released their debut album “The Eventide Collapse” on 4 October 2025 via Ad Noctem Records. The record presents symphonic black death metal that balances intensity with a sombre, atmospheric pull.
Formed in Padua in early 2024, Lux Mortalis bring together musicians with decades of experience in the Italian metal scene, including work in Ades Numen, Cruenta Lacrymis and Lostair. The band describe their music as a meeting point between the visceral drive of death metal and the evocative tone of a funeral chant, shaped by symphonic textures that evoke desolation and grandeur. “The Eventide Collapse” gathers eight tracks written to be focused and powerful.
Tracklist — The Eventide Collapse:
Solitude
Litany of the Lost
Horror Vacui
Awakening
Overflow
Dying Light
The Enchantress’ Call
Visions of Oblivion
