Siberian black metal legends Theosophy have officially signed with Apocalyptic Witchcraft.
Formed in the frozen expanse of Siberia, Theosophy first emerged in 2008 with a split release alongside Bizarrekult, earning strong feedback and worldwide distribution. Building on that momentum, the band shifted focus to live performances in 2010 while preparing their debut full-length, …Out of Decades. The album was followed by In the Kingdom of North in 2011, both released via No Colours Records.
As their sound evolved, Theosophy embarked on a more ambitious creative path with the conceptual project Eastland Tales, released in two parts in 2014 and 2016. During these years, the band maintained an active presence on stage, performing across Russia as both headliners and support, and completing their first European tour in 2019 with dates in Poland and the Czech Republic.
Their growing reputation was further solidified with participation in the official Therion tribute album, followed by the release of their fifth full-length, Towers of Dark Pantheon (2020, Sliptrick Records). In 2022, the band expanded their reach with their first live album, Live Pantheon, and continued to broaden their touring footprint.
In 2023, Theosophy released Bleeding Wounds of the First and the Last, supported by their first extensive tour across Russia. Now, the band are preparing to unleash their next chapter with the forthcoming album Line Before the Event Horizon.
Band frontman Phantom comments:
“Full of optimism, we are proud to announce that we have started working with Apocalyptic Witchcraft. As the saying goes, ‘That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.’ We hope this marks a new chapter for us as well.”
Apocalyptic Witchcraft founder Conor Droney adds:
“We are always striving to find the best underground music in the world, and Theosophy emerging from the frozen depths of Siberia, are a fantastic addition to our roster. This is essential black metal for those who seek it.”
Line Before the Event Horizon will be released on September 25th as a limited-edition vinyl, digipak CD, cassette, and across digital platforms.
